PAQ is an Aboriginal organization that supports First Nations, Inuit and Métis people facing housing insecurity in Tio'tià : ke / Montreal. Using a culturally appropriate approach based on empowerment and harm reduction, we provide housing options, accommodation and services that promote well-being and healing, and strengthen community. We work in partnership with others to promote the health and housing rights of urban indigenous peoples.
**Role summary and responsibilities**
Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Policy and Program Manager, the Shuttle Driver will be responsible for picking up residents from the various Montreal shelters, taking them to where they wish to go on the island, according to the scheduled stops on the route.
The driver will work closely with the on-board psychosocial worker, his immediate manager and external partners to meet the needs of Aboriginal people experiencing homelessness in Montreal by connecting them to existing resources on the island.
They will plan and coordinate trips and ensure the smooth operation of the transportation service, taking into account current weather conditions.

**Skills and other qualifications**
- Ability to drive a 15-seat shuttle bus
- Class 4B driver's license
- Familiarity with the Montreal road network
- Reliable, responsible and punctual
- Comfortable working with people with functional limitations
**Other expectations**
- Safely drive special-needs passengers on the Island of Montreal according to the route defined by the organization
- Wear employer-supplied clothing
- Flexibility to work weekdays or evenings, according to operational needs.
**Compensation**
28$/hour
10 personal/sick days
4% vacation
**Work schedule**
We have a temporary opportunity for a 2 full-time positions:
- July 1st to July 27th: Schedule is Monday to Friday from 5:30pm to 12:30am
- June 25th to September 8th: Schedule is Monday to Friday from 5:30am to 12:30pm
After this period, we would gladly keep you on as an on-call driver where you can fill in when our regular drivers are on vacation or need time off.
