**JOB OVERVIEW**
As a Shipping Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating our international and local shipping operations, with a focus on customs documentation accuracy, performing quality audits, operating forklift equipment, and utilizing the NAV ERP software. Your extensive knowledge of international and domestic trade regulations and customs procedures, attention to detail, forklift proficiency, and NAV ERP experience will ensure that all shipments comply, meet quality standards, are handled safely and efficiently, and are effectively managed through the ERP system.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and manage a team of shipping personnel, providing guidance and support in international and local shipping operations.
- Collaborate with production and purchasing departments to coordinate shipping requirements for subcontracting and other needs.
- Perform quality audits on shipments to ensure accuracy and adherence to the company's quality standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate customs documentation for international shipments and required documentation for local shipments.
- Utilize the NAV ERP software to manage shipping processes, track inventory, generate necessary documentation, and ensure seamless integration with other departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international and domestic trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, and requirements to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the order dispatch team to verify and validate the accuracy of customs documentation for international shipments and local shipment documentation.
- Operate forklift equipment to assist in the handling, loading, and unloading of shipments as needed.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring the correct products are shipped.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery, providing proactive updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and address any discrepancies or issues related to product selection, quantities, or quality during the shipping process.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure precision and compliance in customs documentation and data management systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining customs documentation procedures, and implementing best practices.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international and domestic shipping operations, focusing on customs documentation, quality assurance, compliance, and forklift operation.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in any supervisor role considered an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of international and domestic trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Possession of a valid forklift license and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
- Experience and proficiency in using the NAV ERP software to manage shipping processes, inventory, and generate necessary documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and customs authorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced shipping environment, meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
- Certifications in International Logistics, customs brokerage, quality management, and other relevant areas are a plus.
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
- Must possess strong analytical skills, acute attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
