Sweets from the earth is looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our team in Toronto As an all-natural vegan bakery with a focus on sustainability, we are looking for someone who can help us continue to show the world just how easy & enjoyable plant-based eating can be.

**This is a fully on-site role that requires reliable transportation to our facility located in York University heights.**

The Social Media Assistant will work with our team to develop, implement & execute our influencer and brand strategy by ensuring key marketing messages are communicated accurately, efficiently, and consistently to customer segments through Social media, influencer, and brand partnerships as well as product launches. This role coordinates the creation, development and day-to-day implementation of social media & marketing tasks including content creation and paid/organic social marketing as well as other digital marketing projects.

**What You'll Do**:

- Create and drive visually appealing social media content, this will include creation of engaging copy writing, images, videos, and graphics that reflect Sweets from the Earth brand and messaging.
- Ensure brand consistency and high-quality writing across various digital channels.
- Develop visual assets for our social media channels, including video content for TikTok and Instagram and professional photography of our line of products.
- Increase & improve reach and engagement across X (Twitter), Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, & Tik Tok.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics to assess effectiveness of content and campaigns.
- Develop, execute, maintain, and oversee day to day social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting across all social media channels. Measure and communicate results.
- Build relationships with key influencers, partners and brand advocates to increase reach and mileage of content.
- Create enticing images of our various products from multiple brand lines
- Provide universal support to the marketing team with a focus on digital & social channels, but also including project management and additional event support.
- Stay on top of all best practices for measurement, ad creation and targeting and platforms; understand the competition and ever-changing goals within the digital advertising industry.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Undergraduate degree, diploma preferably in business, marketing or digital marketing or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years relevant experience in social media marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Experience writing short and long form social media content (blog) and managing social media content calendars.
- Experience recording other types of rich media (video, podcasts) preferred.
- Experience creating and executing a communications and outreach strategy to meet business objectives.
- Basic understanding of paid social advertising and the impact it has on the customer journey.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
- Excellent written communication skills for social media content creation and community management; ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication.
- Ability to proactively collaborate, take initiative and creatively problem solve.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams to guide and create visual and copy assets.
- Ability to edit content for specific social channels and audiences using post production tool like After Effects, Adobe or Photoshop is ideal
- Experience with Canva an asset.
- Background in food photography an asset.
