Carpenter Canada Co. has an immediate opening for a **Safety Manager** at our **Vaughan, ON** manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety programs.

Our employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the **Safety Manager, **you will be expected to **lead Health & Safety programs, workplace inspections, conduct Health & Safety meetings and training sessions.**

Your additional responsibilities as **Safety Manager** will include:

- Monitor safety performance and conduct health & safety audits and inspection activities;
- Ensure all personnel is trained in safety protocols and programs associated with their work.
- Manage WSIB account, modified work programs, and applicable reports.
- Ensure the documentation and retention of all health and safety-related records for the prescribed time limits.
- Conduct health & safety orientations and monthly training sessions.
- Participate in all incident investigations, draft reports, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify hazardous conditions, determines and establishes safe procedures and controls, and implements and enforces standard safe work procedures.
- Develop and implement safety procedures.
- Provide safety training to employees.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
