The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The Infinity Women Secretariat (IWS) is an affiliate of the MMF whose main purpose is to promote, empower and enhance the social, culture and economic well-being of Métis Women.

The IWS seeks to fill **one full-time Policy Analyst** position located at 150 Henry Ave in **Winnipeg, MB**. Reporting to the IWS Spokeswoman, the Policy Analyst is responsible for researching, reviewing, interpreting, and implementing existing policies, regulations, and legislation as pertains to the IWS and the MMF, including the development of gender equality policies and regulations to improve internal capacity.
- **Job Duties/Competencies**:_
- Collect and review data through interviews, surveys, and other data collection procedures;
- Research comparable policy and/or program data from other jurisdictions;
- Conduct research, analyze existing government policy, programs, and current federal legislation;
- Conduct gender-based analyses of policies, programs, services, and supports for Métis women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals;
- Engage legal professionals and public policy experts to interpret the current federal legislation, reporting process, and policy implications to the Métis community;
- Develop an analytical framework for IWS consistent with MMF policy;
- Prepare and present reports, funding proposals, position papers and submissions for review by the Spokeswoman.
- **Skills and Qualifications**:_
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline or a bachelor’s degree with several years of experience in policy and program development;
- Experience working in the public sector, preparing reports and budgets;
- Experience conducting research and developing presentations;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, writing, and analytical skills;
- Knowledge of broad range of social policy issues;
- Knowledge of government administration, knowledge of government Ministers and portfolios;
- Knowledge of Métis culture and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
