**About the role**

As a Compass ELC Project Coordinator, you will work alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated in the childcare industry. You will spend your time engaging, connecting, and learning alongside staff, families, children, and community partners. In these roles you will engage municipal partners and community stakeholders in an operational and evaluative review of current recruitment, onboarding, and training processes within the organization (include a GBA+ analysis); support with the creation of professional learning; develop resources to ease entry into this career pathway for newcomer and low-income women, non-binary and trans people; build an understanding in municipal partners and equity-seeking community organizations of the barriers facing low-income and newcomer women entering the field of childcare to drive services that reflect their needs for income stability.

These roles will support the organization with recruitment, orientation, and onboarding of newcomer and low-income women; stakeholder engagement; professional learning and networking; evaluation and sustainability of the project.

The Project Coordinators will be working with the New Canadian Centre, Community Race Relations Committee, Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre, and Indigenize.ca to support the work’s processes and products to address intersectional needs. Additionally, this project will include the City of Kawartha Lakes, Durham Region, Northumberland County, City of Peterborough, and childcare partners as key partners and stakeholders.

- Engagement with the DEI Advisory Committee
- Engagement with Working Groups within CELC and the communities we serve
- Supporting with identifying and dismantling barriers that affect newcomer and low-income women, non-binary and trans people entering the workforce
- Building and maintaining relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers, students, and community partners
- Following the work plan set out by community partners, stakeholders, and the Compass ELC team
- Engaging and leading meetings and professional learning workshops with partners and stakeholders
- Working in a relationship with the Compass Human Relations team to look at recruitment and onboarding policies and practices.
- Engage Culture leads and educators in interviews, focus groups, surveys, etc.
- Bring forward research on best practices
- Find innovative ways to remove barriers to women’s workforce participation
- Completing evaluations and making recommendations for sustainable practices

**Skills and Qualifications**
- 1-3 years experience with project development and coordination
- A diploma or post-secondary education in Project Management is valued but not required.
- You have familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
- You have Valid certifications including Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, and Updated immunization records.
- You have a passion and experience for supporting Diversity, Equality and Inclusion work
- You are comfortable with technology and have experience collecting data.
