What You Will Get To Do- Reporting to, and under the direction of, the Supervisor of 55+ Recreation Services, the Seniors Programmer is responsible for the coordination and development of Adult 55+ Programs and Services, the development and coordination of community based special events, the coordination of projects and administrative duties. The duties include, but are not limited to:
- full cycle program and event planning, including: research, development, promotion, organization, coordination, facilitation, implementation and evaluation;
- on-going recruitment, supervision and monitoring of contractors and volunteers;
- policy development and review;
- updating the software program to include new program information for enrolment and monitoring registration;
- developing and sustaining community partnerships;
- the generation of promotional information;
- ensuring financial accountability by managing revenue and expenses for programs;
- providing customer service and administrative support;
- other duties as may be assigned.

- a post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and/or Gerontology, or a related field;
- a minimum of two (2) years experience with the coordination and development of 55+ programs, services and special events;
