To drive continued success in this exciting clinical research field, we are seeking committed, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our winning team as a Contract Data Entry Specialist for our Toronto/Markham, Ontario, Canada on-site location, or remotely from a home-based office anywhere in Canada in accordance with our Work from Home policy.

**Key Accountabilities**:
The following are the job accountabilities for the Argus Safety Database **Data Entry Specialist** position.
- Learn and become familiar with the Oracle Argus Safety Database (“Argus”) through training. This includes familiarity with the following data tabs within Argus: general tab, patient tab, products tab, events tab, analysis tab, activities tab, etc.
- Perform data entry clean-up of safety cases imported into Argus. These activities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reviewing case data imported into Argus in the various tabs.
- Assessing the data clean-up activities to be performed for each case.
- Manually correcting the data in the tabs or moving data from one data tab to another, as per the instructions and training provided.
- Perform self-quality checks on a real-time basis as data entry on each form is completed to ensure data entered into Argus in one data tab is 100% matching its data source (which may be from another data tab within Argus).
- Track data entry progress for cases within a spreadsheet tracker in real-time.
- Communicate any issues in a timely manner to the Project Leadership team.
- Ensure data entry speed and quality meet the requirements outlined by the Project Leadership team (taking into account a short ramp up time).
- Additional duties as required and assigned by project or supervisory personnel.
- May assist with data entry of safety events from clients’ ongoing drug clinical trials in a timely manner. Depending on the further scope of work, these activities may be performed:
- Review of hardcopy and/or electronic serious adverse event (SAE) report forms and supplementary reports.
- Entering case safety data into the safety database within the appropriate tabs within Argus.
- Interacting with the Lead Safety Associate for the cases assigned for data entry.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- B.Sc. in a clinical or medical or health related field.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and summarize medical terminology (preferred).
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with clinical data and client’s proprietary data.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
