Financial Controller

**About us**
We are looking for a Controller for our client situated in Clairmont, AB. The job is fast-paced and collaborative within a team environment of over 150 employees.
Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will manage the day-to-day finances of the organization while overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. This position requires the ability to manage both processes and people in a professional, positive and tactful manner.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepares internal financial statements
- Promotes and demonstrates professional communication
- Provides Management with Financial information
- Hire and train accounting staff
- Ensure that there is cross-training in key functions
- Prepares day to day bookkeeping using Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
- Prepares monthly reporting for approval by Senior Management
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepares electronic funds transfers for bill payments
- Review all payments for approval
- Manages and administers loans
- Prepares and files GST returns
- Ensures that payroll related government remittances are made accurately and on time.
- Manages IFTA on a quarterly basis
- Manages intercompany loans and transactions
**Qualifications**
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting or related field
- PCP designation an asset
- CPA designation an asset
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in in related field in the Accounting capacity
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

- Senior Accounting Role: 5 years (required)
