**Your role on our team**:The Manager, External Reporting is responsible for understanding the story of the company and conveying it to stakeholders through various communications, which includes the preparation of flash reports, financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS as well as other forms of discussion and analysis.

**In this role, you will**:

- Own the external reporting function by:

- Actively work with operating and asset teams while coordinating the reporting team to ensure timely and accurate reporting;
- Review all reporting information received from various teams to ensure accuracy and consistency. Includes reviewing and thoroughly understanding operational, development, debt and capital activity.
- Review the consolidation to ensure accuracy of the entries and supporting schedules;
- Review the financial statements, including note disclosures, prepared for both partners and investors;
- Develop highly accurate and concise reporting communications to a variety of stakeholders;
- Determine appropriate accounting for numerous complex accounting issues;
- Work collaboratively with the reporting team and operational groups to proactively enhance processes and adopt technology that facilitates the reporting function;
- Provide leadership, training and support to develop the reporting team
- Enjoy a fast-paced work environment while delivering high-quality financial statements, communications and analysis;
- Meet the internal and external deadlines by demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize;
- Coordinate the audit with external auditors.

**We would like you to have**:
**Education**:A professional accounting designation (CPA)

**Experience**:

- In public practice and real estate companies is highly desirable;
- Leading a team of finance professionals.

**Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Ability to analyze complex issues, diagnose multi-dimensional problems, and devise appropriate recommendations;
- Ability to work independently while leading a team;
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) combined with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to stay organized by maintaining a structured system enabling the easy access to information to quickly respond to requests;
- Strong understanding and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, NewStar or Yardi is an asset);
- Effective understanding and knowledge of consolidation systems.
