We are looking for a Reporting Officer to join our Human Resources Branch (HRB). The Reporting Officer is someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Reporting Officer supports the overall HR measurement and reporting function at the NRC by being the primary contact for the retrieval, compilation and generation of HR-related information and reports. HR reports are required to meet a variety of internal and external HR reporting requirements, primarily using the NRC’s Human Resources Management System hosted on SAP (known internally as Sigma).

The Reporting Officer also assists with the thoughtful display of HR data in charts and graphs to be included in various reports, dashboards and presentations.

This position also provides support to various projects and initiatives within the HR Measurment and Reporting team including internal HR survey administration and reporting, the administration of the Public Service Employee Survey (PSES), and the coordination of HR input to the bi-weekly Forward Planner for NRC’s senior management. A key challenge of the HR Reporting Officer is to provide conceptual and analytical thinking in order to address current reporting needs, anticipate future needs and respond to requests in a timely and effective manner.

**Education**:
College diploma in a relevant discipline.

An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training would also be considered.

A university degree would be considered **an asset**.

**Experience**:

- Recent and significant experience in report generation from an Enterprise Resource Planning solution (i.e. SAP, PeopleSoft) including report design and delivery.
- Significant experience* in using Microsoft Excel including the generation of formulas, data tables and graphics.
- Experience in using other MS Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in responding to inquiries and requests by working with stakeholders to clarify requirements and suggest options and solutions.
- Experience in using a SAP hosted Human Resources Management System would be considered **an asset**.
- Experience working in an HR environment would be considered **an asset**.
- Significant experience is defined as more than 2 years of experience.

**Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last 5 years.

- Knowledge of data management principles, especially in the area of Personnel Administration.
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel in support of data reporting and analysis (generation of formulas, data tables, graphics etc.).
- Ability to prepare various reports and presentations using MS Word and Powerpoint.
- Ability to work with and interpret large datasets.

**Compensation**:
**Salary under review.**
From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum.

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
