**You have**:

- Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field
- Minimum of 5 years progressive HR Generalist experience in a unionized environment
- Experience in change management within the discipline of organization development and stakeholder management
- Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills to multi-task on concurrent projects with competition priorities
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) combined with demonstrated tact, diplomacy, proven ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information

**Nice to have**:

- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or working towards one
- Certified Registered Safety Profession (CRSP) designation or working towards one

**What you will do**:

- Provide guidance and advice to managers with respect to their roles and responsibilities and policy violations, such as insubordinate behaviour and non-physical employee conflicts and/or employee-manager conflicts
- Foster an open communication with employees and managers by answering questions, explaining policies and procedures and labour relations
- Assist in creating grievance files, gather and maintain required information for each grievance and provide files for review
- Track grievances, investigations and other HR metrics as required
- Provides guidance, advice and support to regional Joint Health & Safety Committees, creates inventory of committee members, ensures members are trained, reviews minutes of meetings
- Track and report on WSIB claims in accordance with legislation, identifies trends and recommends actions to reduce incidents
- Coordinate Return to Work (RTW) activities with all applicable parties
- Review and recommend ergonomic evaluations and support next initiatives
