**What you'll be doing...**:
The Abilities Management, Case Manager is a key player in our People and Culture team, providing case management support and direction to both employees and stakeholders for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and interacts with healthcare professionals and insurers to ensure a sage and sustainable return to work for our employees.

In this position, you will get the opportunity to:

- Coordinate case management activities to support safe, timely and sustainable return to work.
- Support employees including communication, collaboration with health care providers, monitoring progress of employees, communicating, and collaborating with managers and union representatives.
- Assess employees fitness for work based on medical and functional information.
- Develop individual plans that facilitate an early and sage return to work that meet employee’s functional ability and individual needs.
- Documents case activity and decisions in a timely, accurate, confidential manner.
- Promote best practices of disability management.
- Provide expert consultation, advice, and coaching to stakeholders and collaborate with leaders to resolve issues on complex cases.

- Related work experience in disability case management
- Knowledge and experience in WorkSafeBC claims processing, policies and procedures considered an asset
- WorkSafeBC Rehabilitation Services and Claims Manual is an asset.
- Expereince coordinating resources to support case resolution and negotiating solutions to complex problems.
- Knowledge of disability management principles and best practices in a unionized environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, human rights legislation and information and privacy acts.
