**Westburne Electric**, a division of **Rexel Canada Electrical Inc**., is a leader in electrical product distribution, participating in the commercial, residential, industrial and institutional markets across Canada.

The incumbent is responsible for effectively managing the inventory levels at the **Burnaby** location so as to prevent losses and improve the financial turns through maintenance and compliance of the implemented procedures and policies. The **Inventory/QA Specialist** is also responsible for analyzing system reports and offering recommendations for improvement. Responsible also for participating in managing and coordinating the physical inventory at the location.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluates inventory reports and sets parameters to achieve maximum customer service and stock turns.
- Provides training and recommendations to improve inventory practices and capabilities.
- Produces written instructions, flow charts and guidelines for the Burnaby location on customer returns, cycle counting and supplier returns to eliminate losses and maintain accuracy of perpetual accounts. Evaluates weekly and monthly “fill rate” service reports to determine delivery schedules and availability of products to customers.
- Sets up and monitors inventory parameters for the Burnaby location.
- Analyzes aged and surplus inventory levels and offers recommendations for improvement.
- Develops targets to establish reductions or refinement measures to maintain profitable stock levels.
- Compiles an inventory report on data collected and distributes with comments to senior management and purchasing for review.
- Coordinates and prepares the branch for the physical inventory. Arranges and ensures instructions are followed at all levels.
- Develops schedules and monitors procedures to ensure an efficient count.
- Reconciles the variances and compiles reports to determine reasons for discrepancies. Produces a physical inventory report for evaluation.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 education (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the AS400 and Excel
- An accounting background would be beneficial
- Electrical product knowledge would be an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with numbers.
- He/she must have excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to logically resolve inventory discrepancies
