Weddings
- Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries with regards to site rentals
- Ensure up-to-date information is available (e.g. lookbook, website, social media) and that photos available online and in print reflect the beauty of the unique site
- Conduct site tours with interested parties and explain contract details and options available at the facility
- Maintain electronic and paper files of wedding contracts
- Request payments and ensure each file is up-to-date with financial information and payments
- Liaise with preferred caterers and wedding vendors secured by renters
- Coordinate on-site security as needed and follow up with security staff after events
- Ensure site is ready for events prior to the renter’s arrival (cleaning of facilities, barn and washrooms)
- Report to the Fire Department regarding upcoming events
- Ensure all insurance, certificates, and liquor licensing requirements are met
- Regularly assess the marketplace, trends, pricing and business opportunities related to the wedding industry and make recommendations to the Executive Director

Events
- Maintain positive relationship with sponsors and seek out new sponsors to support events
- Purchase all supplies related to events and ensure that they are maintained for future use
- Communicate with event volunteers and provide task assignments before events
- Be present during events to coordinate day-of tasks
- Book all site rentals and birthday parties, and ensure supplies and staff are scheduled accordingly
- Be the ‘face’ of events at Steckle Heritage Farm
- Interacting and managing Comfortable with animals
- Other activities designated by the ED duties as assigned as by the directors decision
- Small team need to rely on one another interact and assit with other programmes and staff on the farm
- Critical thinking, problem solving conflicy resolution, personal skills

Administration and Program Support
- Design and submit quarterly advertisements to the City of Kitchener Leisure Guide and other advertising channels as approved by the Executive Director.
- Maintain the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages for Steckle Heritage Farm including posts, groups, and event pages as needed for special events, fundraisers, Open Tuesdays, and general engagement
- Assist in securing supplies for programs as needed
- Provide input and feedback to the Executive Director on program lessons and structure
- Facilitate programs and outreach initiatives on an on-call basis should program staff fall ill or become unavailable
- Assist in leading farm tours and training new tour staff
- Assist in caring for the farm animals
- Support Executive Director with administrative duties as assigned
- Provide backup supervision of staff and programs when the Executive Director is not on site

**Job Types**: Seasonal, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
