- Reporting to the Manager, Procurement and Financial Services, the Ecommerce and Logistics Officer is responsible for the efficient operations of NIC’s retail ecommerce system as well as, freight and courier requirements. The Ecommerce and Logistics Officer, provides a range of services to a diverse internal and external client base, ensuring adherence to all procedural requirements and maintaining an operational ecommerce platform.
The Ecommerce and Logistics Officer will support strategies to streamline ecommerce activities. They will be responsible for the e-commerce experience in forecasting sales and resolving conflicts. The Ecommerce and Logistics Officer will be responding to queries from staff and students to ensure the ecommerce activities are able to best support student success. They also monitor website content to ensure that it is easy to navigate and visually appealing in conjunction with NIC’s Marketing and Future Students team.
The Ecommerce and Logistics Officer is also responsible for ensuring effective maintenance of all centre equipment including electronic and manual goods lifting, storage, coordinating and facilitating the safe transportation and movement of all mail, deliveries and overall inventory in and out of the centre.**Position Competencies**

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**E-commerce Operations**:

- Write and edit product content that will be published on eCommerce websites/portals.
- Review and support the Manager, Procurement and Financial Services with standards, systems, and best practices for new product listings, content creation, distribution, and maintenance.

**Website Content Management**:

- Work closely with different teams, including marketing and faculty, to provide updated content that will be shared** **across eCommerce platform.
- Identify SEO best practices regarding inventory, pre-orders, and pricing policies.

**Logistics and Inventory Management**:

- Monitor changes in product sales by using web analytics and Excel spreadsheets (pivot tables, vlookups, etc) to stay organized.
- Responsible for all logístical movement of items entering or leaving North Island College. This includes reviewing items for damages and recording and distributing this information as needed.

**Freight and Courier Coordination**
- Maintains cost effective use of all freight, ensuring courier and other services are used efficiently and related to inventory.

**Client Support**:

- Respond to inquiries from staff and students regarding e-commerce activities.
- Work collaboratively with diverse internal teams to address their needs and ensure the e-commerce platform best supports student success.

**Maintenance and Training**:

- Ensure the effective maintenance of all equipment within the center.
- Designated to orientate and train in various areas of responsibility and tasks when required.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement continuous improvement strategies for e-commerce operations.

- The position incorporates any other duties as required by the manager.

**Required Education & Experience**
- 2 years post secondary education in business, supply chain, retail or operations management or relevant related field.
- 3 to 5 years proven experience in e-commerce operations and logistics coordination.

**Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities**
- 1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Familiarity with web analytics, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
4. Basic understanding of UX principles for website optimization.
5. Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
7. Capacity to perform physically demanding work in a safe manner ability to lift up to 20kg; WHIMS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications required.
8. Ability to work independently, respond to issues positively and manage a range of priority tasks.
