We are looking for a Superintendent (Contract) to join our Construction team in Cornwall As a Superintendent, you will assist in the development and build of remarkable buildings, fostering enduring relationships with our people, partners, and clients while maintaining the Broccolini core values, Pride and Passion, Collaboration, Integrity, and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
**Please note, this is a contract position with opportunities for extension.
What you will do as a Superintendent:
- Assist in the development of construction strategy, construction management plan, and planning the execution of assigned projects through the pre-construction process in collaboration with the Field Operations Manager / project team.
- Ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and Broccolini’s standards
- Schedule, prepare for and chair site related project meetings
- Collaborate with field staff and the project team to ensure that HSE, performance, productivity, financial and quality requirements are met
- Manage MS Project schedule
- Mentor and develop direct reports to ensure career growth
- Maintain control of the work on site and ensure progress of work occurs in compliance with the project schedule. Communicate the schedule and any impacts to the project team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the construction field
- Exceptional communication skills
- Above-average organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, to manage time effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software; Tech-savvy with various computer software’s
