DoorWay Technologies is a rapidly growing tech startup dedicated to transforming real estate operations with innovative solutions. Our platform seamlessly connects property managers, landlords, tenants, and service providers, optimizing building functions and automating the maintenance lifecycle. We are part of the Venture’s Program working alongside Weavik Inc. and Snap Pea Design both prominent Waterloo based firms. Venture’s is known for its successful launch of products and focused on innovative strategies for driving growth. DoorWay is committed to reshaping interactions within the real estate sector through our intuitive, streamlined, and automated technology. The Digital Media Intern will benefit from our extensive support network and gain invaluable experience from industry professionals through our Venture Program Partnership with Snap Pea Design.
- **As a Digital Media Intern, your main duties and responsibilities include**:_
- Design promotional materials: presentation decks, digital ads, training guides, employee handbooks, internal / external branded documents.
- Assist in developing and maintaining brand identity.
- Create engaging content that aligns with our marketing goals
- Schedule and maintain content calendar
- Develop and implement social media strategies to boost engagement
- Monitor social media for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve digital strategies
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorms and project planning
- Provide support for other projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- **Internship Eligibility Criteria**:_
- Be unemployed or underemployed youth (persons aged 30 and under)
- Have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have not previously participated in a youth internship with FedNor’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) or in any other federal or provincial internship program with pay for a period of six months or more.
- Not be related to the directors, officers, or managers of the organization.
- Work on project-based activities listed under Canada’s Economic Strategy Tables (Advanced Manufacturing, Agri-Food, Clean Technologies, Digital Industries, Health/Bio Sciences, Resources of the Future, and Tourism).
- Must reside in Northern Ontario or be willing to move to the region for the period of the internship.
- **You would be a great fit if you have the following**:_
- Have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in relation to Graphic Design, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Design software examples could include: Canva, Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Strong creative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
