CAREER OPPORTUNITY**:Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator**

Location: Mississauga, ON

Key Responsibilities:

- Truck Maintenance
- Manage preventive maintenance scheduling
- Direct off-site maintenance, repair, and recovery functions for roadside vehicle repairs
- Monitor, evaluate and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repair projects
- Evaluate current Safety practices for effectiveness, and help with improvements where necessary
- Launch and conduct safety programs and safety training
- Assist with implementing and conducting internal and external audits
- Inspections and auditing truck and drivers documents
- Assist or lead investigations to determine the root cause of incidents and develop corrective actions
- Guide, coach and develop frontline managers and supervisors to create a strong safety culture.
- Actively involved in all aspects of compliance, ensuring the organization is fully compliant with all relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, develop solutions to safety concerns
- Ensure Safety Programs result in meeting or exceeding targets to deliver best in class performance.
- Ensure training plans for safety and safety compliance are met.

Qualifications:

- Community College Program Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to conduct audits and assessments based on recognized standards and/or best practices.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous transportation experience is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON L4Z 1Y2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
