Location - Kingston
35 hours/week
$19.00/hour

**8 week Canada Summer Jobs Contract Position - July 3rd - August 25th, 2023**

**Job Overview**

The Marketing & Community Development Coordinator will work with the Resource Development team to enhance community initiatives and outreach, increasing the organization's community participation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist and lead a variety of community outreach and engagement efforts, such as special events.
- Assist with the planning, operations, and administrative tracking of community initiatives.
- Assist in the data collection of community engagement initiatives, to evaluate effectiveness.
- Support and steward existing community partnerships, while aiming to establish new community relationships.
- Support external communications, including the engagement of donors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Ensure all communication materials and community initiatives meet BGC tenets of inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility.
- Weekly communication of task completion based on annual marketing plan to Manager and Supervisor of Resource Development.
- Communicate progress, questions, and concerns to Manager and Supervisor of Resource Development.

**Job Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of Post-Secondary education in a child related field, or marketing and communications program
- Experience with social media, marketing, and community outreach an asset
- Experience in a child/youth serving agency setting an asset
- Standard First Aid/C.P.R. LEVEL C - certification (not necessarily needed)
- Criminal Reference Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check)
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences, Developmental Relationship Framework, and/or HIGH Five an asset

**Job Specifications**:

- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Knowledge of societal inequalities (gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic, etc)
- Ability to complete administrative tasks with attention to detail
- Enjoy working in a child/youth friendly environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
