**Public Affairs & Communications Intern**

**Organization**

The Association provides leadership and services that support over 1,600
REALTORS® in Saskatchewan through technology, education, and advocacy. The
Association is also the expert voice invested in bringing insight to public policy makers on matters that affect growth, housing, real estate, and the creation of wealth in our communities. Our team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and achieving tangible results for our membership. We aim to be the influential leader and trusted resource providing powerful support to its REALTORS® and the real estate sector in our province.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
Provide communications support for the Public Affairs and Professional Practice Teams:

- Create content for newsletters, media releases, sponsorship requests, social media, and other communication materials.
- Assist in the production and communication of our monthly market statistics.
- Audit the Association’s website, making recommendations for improvement.
- Support social media management by creating and scheduling content, monitoring engagement and creating lists.
- Monitor media coverage and social media channels, prepare media reports, and maintain media databases.

Conduct research on issues related to the real estate industry and assist in the development of policy positions.

Create and maintain a database of local, provincial and federal government agendas and activities (council meetings, policy initiatives, etc.)

Participate in meetings and develop strong relationships with stakeholders.

Other responsibilities as may be required in the advancement of Public Affairs and in support of the Association.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in political science, economics, business, or related field
- Highly developed analytical and research skills
- Experience in developing strategies and content for social media
- Proficiency in design tools, preference to those with Canva experience
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral)
- Results oriented, self-directed, outstanding organization and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, build strong relationships and work collaboratively
- Member-first mindset and focus on exceptional customer service
- Keen interest in the housing market with an understanding of the business and public policy environment in Saskatchewan
