**What is the opportunity?**

You will be the chief storyteller for the organization, crafting narratives that inform and empower investors, consumers, and industry participants and that support the perception and brand reputation of the FCAA. You will lead communication strategies, media relations, marketing, and digital strategy to support our strategic goals.

**What will you do?**
- Lead media relations and support the Minister and FCAA officials in providing appropriate, accurate and timely messaging;
- Manage the digital strategy (including website, social media, and advertising tactics);
- Direct the marketing campaigns to industry and the public;
- Spearhead the planning and implementation of communication for crisis and risk issues;
- Assist with public and stakeholder consultations;
- Engage and collaborate with regulatory and policy counterparts in other jurisdictions;
- Oversee, develop and implement internal communication strategies; and
- Ensure all communications activity aligns with broader government messaging.

**What do you need to succeed?**

Typically, the technical skills required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary degree in communications, journalism or public administration, combined with experience as a senior-level communication professional. An alternative combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered. Public sector experience would be considered an asset in this role.
