**Job Summary**:
Canlan Sports is looking for an all-around team player who can play a pivotal role in the delivery of some of the top youth hockey tournaments in North America. As the **Tournament Coordinator,** you will help with planning and executing our tournaments, while also providing superb customer service. If you’re reading this, maybe that’s you
**Responsibilities**:
- Tournament prep duties including but not limited to:
- creating and printing schedules
- Collecting deposit payments
- Updating website contentAcquiring team rosters
- Organize and track inventory of supplies
- General inbound sales inquiries over the phone
- Staff supervision; managing and overseeing game officials and referees
- Customer service and general inquires
- Support social media team with content and images of players and teams
- Inter-facility communication as needed
- Collection of outstanding payments and managing delinquent accounts
- On-site tournament delivery
- Other duties as required
**Abilities, Attributes and Experience**:
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (regular office hours, evenings & weekends).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of hockey rules.
- Team oriented with GREAT communication skills.
- Can handle coaching and constructive critiquing of performance.
- Strong customer service qualities, including phone etiquette.
- Good understanding of tournament rules.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a hockey related field in an operations capacity.
- Experience in an office environment.
- Experience in customer service considered an asset.
- Enrollment in (or graduation from) a university or college in the Sports Leisure Administration field
