For almost 40 years, Cornerstone Housing for Women has provided emergency shelter and supportive housing to thousands of women experiencing homelessness. Our _**mission**_ is to provide a continuum of housing and support for women and gender-diverse people that is inclusive and reduces barriers. Our _**vision**_ is that everyone has a home in a community that supports them to live with dignity and hope.

Our organization serves women and gender diverse people over the age of 18. We currently have four permanent housing communities and are excited to announce that we are opening a fifth location in the spring of 2024

As a result of this exciting opportunity we are seeking **Support Workers** to join our team.

Our Support Workers play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operations of the shelter and supportive housing locations through providing quality programs and services to the women and gender individuals that we support. Our Support Workers provides individualized support to Cornerstone residents. Client needs are assessed, a service plan is developed and the resident is referred to appropriate community resources. The service is flexible and resident-centered to meet the unique situation of each woman. The Support Worker aids in the following life domains: basic needs; activities of daily living including maintenance of personal and communal space; physical and mental health; housing; financial; social; spiritual; legal; educational and vocational. The Support Worker follows the individualized plan as developed by the Case Manager and works with other team members to assist residents to meet their goals.

We offer flexibility and lots of opportunity to grow over the coming year as we prepare for opening our 5thsupportive housing location. This is a unionized position with a starting hourly rate of $23.32 with an increase to $25.63 upon completion of the probationary period.
