GFL Environmental is looking for a Recruiter to join our growing Talent team out of our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Office The Recruiter will provide support to field operations throughout the US, while also supporting on various HR and Talent projects on occasion.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist in full-cycle recruitment initiatives for field and operational job openings across the organization with support from recruitment leads
- Review and qualify applicant resumes in accordance to hiring manager's needs
- Conduct preliminary phone interviews to assess talent fit for teams
- Manage administrative aspect of recruitment - file management, photocopying, scanning and other clerical functions
- Initiate and conduct criminal, credit, drug, and reference checks on prospective employees
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate confidential records and files with discretion
- Liaise with other departments as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years’ experience in Full-Cycle Recruitment, managing a high volume of requisitions
- University Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a load of competing priorities under pressure and within respective deadlines
- Strong moral and ethical judgement in decision making, along with a commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Politically and culturally sensitive
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work effectively as a part of a team as well as independently
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Have WorkDay Recruiting experience
- Have experience recruiting in the solid waste or transportation industry
- Are highly flexible with the ability to manage relationships at all levels of a diverse organization with a variety of personalities
