Project and Program Director - Transformation Programs

**Job Summary**

The Director, Program and Project Management supports the strategy, execution and delivery of programs that seek to materially shift the trajectory of our business. This role reports into the Equinix Transformation office and is responsible for building strategic relationships with stakeholders to deliver large scale global cross functional business transformation programs. This individual will need to have mastered project management skills to then help teams formulate plans from ambiguity, resolve issues, and remove roadblocks from the team.

**Responsibilities**
- Focus on execution and results: establishing high standards for performance, setting goals and developing plans, following through and holding people accountable for results
- Lead global, cross functional workstreams focused on accelerating our strategic priorities and Ensure program and/or project goals and objectives are met
- Use program and project management best practices to help teams execute programs on time, on budget and meet program outcomes
- Analyze solutions from multiple angles, provide recommendations considering the needs of functional or cross functional teams, and assess priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria
- Monitor the health of the work, gathering feedback on what’s working vs. not and adapt as needed
- Lead program status reporting highlighting risks, issues, and concerns
- Create and communicate program charter, scope, and goals to stakeholders
- Baseline current process performance, set objectives and complete cost benefit assessments. Create metrics and dashboards to measure process efficiencies to validate results
- Understand issues, identify the root cause and articulate it in an actionable way, frame options to resolve it, and drive the decision on those options with the relevant stakeholders
- Strong communicator with sufficient business acumen to advise and influence the most senior executives across the company
- Strategically evaluate and drive alignment and decision-making
- Present to program steering committees making detailed, prioritized recommendations, communicating risks and program status, facilitating discussions and driving decision making
- Baseline current performance, set objectives, and complete cost benefit assessments. Create metrics and dashboards to measure process efficiencies to validate results
- Possess the confidence to challenge the status quo and ensure project conversations drive innovative thinking
- Estimate and request funding and resources. Track budget actuals and forecast spend
- Identify and engage appropriate stakeholders, manage expectations and drive conflict resolution
- Address program and interpersonal conflict head-on and tactfully
- Bring transformational leadership to drive change in behavior across Equinix
- Possess the confidence to challenge the status quo and ensure project conversations drive innovative thinking

**Qualifications**
- 15+ years experience preferred
- Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Managing Successful Programs Practitioner certification preferred
- Proven experience as program director leading projects or programs that are global, cross functional and deliver high impact/ROI with a thorough understanding of project & program management techniques and methods
- High EQ: influential change-leader who can actively listen, challenge the status quo while build followership and support by bringing people along
- Self-starter: comfortable with ambiguity and understands complex business problems and drives understanding, alignment, and resolution
- Be curious, have the strength and courage to ask hard questions, and challenge norms
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize
- Experience working for a Global organization across multiple functions & regions with the ability to influence cross functionality with the ability to lead difficult conversations
