Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction, accountability, and guidance of the Human Resources Manager, the Facilities Maintenance plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations. This position involves ongoing management, repair and upkeep of physical assets and infrastructure within each of Noojmowin Teg Health Centre facilities, office spaces and storage sites.
**Job Duties**:
- Manage the maintenance and work orders for repair at specific facilities and vehicles
- Oversee the physical resources of the organization
- Ensure appropriate records are documented, maintained, and updated specific to buildings, office leases, vehicles and storage units
- Assist in the development and implementation of the organization’s quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in organizational developments including strategic planning
- Work with Human Resource Manager in monitoring budget reviews
- Create and plan the cleaning, repair and maintenance of building components and vehicles
- Facility maintenance for building service contracts including maintenance of fire alarm, HVAC, and all other utilities
- Coordinate health & safety training and ensure the organization is compliant with applicable legislation relating to health & safety, and accessibility
- Engage in professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
**Requirements**
Mandatory
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in facilities maintenance, or related field
- Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
- Knowledge of physical resources management
- Skilled in interpersonal relations
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant administrative software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize, plan, organize and schedule
- Strong ability to prepare reports within deadlines
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and legislation
- Current Standard CPR C and First Aid Certification
- Valid Class G driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety policies and legislation
- Understanding and sensitivity of the Anishinaabe culture
**Skills**:
- Skilled in interpersonal relations
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other relevant administrative software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak Anishinaabemowin is an asset
