**The Role**
The Credit Manager is responsible for managing the policies, procedures, process development and projects for retail lending. The incumbent will also manage the retail lending associate and be the lead during retail audits. This role is expected to assist in educating branch staff in retail lending to improve the member service experience throughout the organization.
- Work collaboratively with the VP, Retail Lending, Chief Lending Officer and peers across the organization to coordinate efforts including, but not limited to retail credit managing and contributing to corporate projects and processes
- Proactively coach and develop team members to assist them in achieving individual and departmental goals including directly supervising the retail lending associate
- Provide backup coverage as required for Sr. Adjudicator Personal Lending, Manager Credit Administration and Manager Retail Lending

**What we are looking for**
- Post secondary diploma, degree and/or certification in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Real Estate or a related program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a skilled lender in a Financial Institution dealing with all types of credit including but not limited to mortgages, loans, lines of credit, construction, bridge and demand loans
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in coaching and developing staff
- Audit experience required
- Possess strong understanding of underwriting guidelines
- Fully proficient with consumer and mortgage lending as well as having a general knowledge of available financial services products & services
- Comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market, mortgage lending industry, competitive environment, as well as product features and services pertinent to the mortgage broker and their customers
- Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable available vehicle
- Must be bondable
