**Your Opportunity**:
The Procurement Specialist III - Contract Coordinator is a professional position in the Contracting, Procurement and Supply Management (CPSM) Department. This position is responsible for coordinating activities relating to the competitive bidding process, sourcing strategy, negotiations, preparing contract documents, assisting with contract Implementation and assisting with contract management. This Contract Coordinator position will join the team accountable for Direct Patient Care - Community and Continuing Care Agreements. The Contract Coordinator provides business leadership utilizing project skills, process design and financial expertise. The Contract Coordinator ensures overall integration within the health system by developing and building relations within AHS and with community agencies and the supplier market. The Contract Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with leaders in service areas to review service models and incorporate requirements in the contract deliverables and service descriptions.

**Description**:
As a Procurement Specialist III, you will showcase your excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and external vendors. You will develop new contracts and contract amendments that create value and mitigate risk to AHS. You will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the competitive bidding process including RFx evaluations preparing contract documents, assisting with contract implementations and managing contracts within their assigned categories in compliance with AHS procurement processes, policies and guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of post-secondary degree in Business or Supply Management.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Post-secondary education, minimum undergraduate degree related to business administration or a health care related discipline. Demonstrated equivalency and experience may be considered. Experience working with a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity with a demonstrated working knowledge of corporate culture. Proven record of independent problem-solving and decision making abilities. Proven record of strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to articulate stakeholder needs both internal to AHS and the supplier community to achieve best outcome of service delivery. Continuous learning is critical to keep pace with the environmental and operational changes. Dispute resolution and mediation experience. Experience in facilitation/coordination of project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to work independently with mínimal supervision. Must be self-lead and self-motivated. Must be able to work independently and with a group.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Project management, process design and stakeholder engagement experience within a contracting framework is preferred. Healthcare experience, preferably in community and continuing care is an asset.
