**Quality Technician**

**Novatech Patio Doors Ontario** is a leading global solid state device manufacturer. We provide our customers with innovative solutions for the monitoring, control, and measurement of their equipment. Our solutions range from discrete to liquid-filled semiconductor modules and power electronics modules.

**Job description**

The Company is currently recruiting for a **Quality Technician (Day Shift)** to join our team. The Quality Technician reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible to develop, implement and maintain an industry leading quality assurance program.

**Job Duties**:

- Monitor product safety and quality, production process and personnel GMP practices to ensure compliance to established procedures (SOP’s), standards and requirements.
- Perform production line QA/QC functions as required. Conduct relevant visual and dimensional inspections on raw materials and finished product.
- Identify, report and investigate any deviation to procedure, system or standard and assist with implementing corrective actions and follow ups.
- Participate or assist in internal audits on an as needed basis.
- Document reports, complaints, departmental requests and assist with all administrative functions associated with this role.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including: GMP and Company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties (facility inspections, R&D sample request inquiries, other projects) as assigned.
- Communicate with suppliers and clients regarding any quality issues.

**Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Must be computer proficient (MS Office & Excel).
- Good interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and stress managing skills.
- Strive in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a cross functional team environment.
- Combination of an office and plant setting.
- Interacting with various levels of management and employees.

**Qualifications**:

- BSc. or college diploma in Quality or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 year experience in manufacturing specializing in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control activities.
- Previous experience in window/door manufacturing would be an asset.
