- We are looking for an Application Development specialist to support our Digital Technologies Research Centre. The Application Development specialist would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
- The incumbent will be part of a multi-partner (NRC, University, other government department) research project developing new technologies to enhance transportation infrastructure resiliency. The project will develop innovative analysis and prediction technologies using sensor data and satellite imagery.
- More specifically, the incumbent will:
- Evaluate various Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (AI) approaches to respond to project goals.
- Operate complexity, performance, scalability analysis of the proposed solutions.
- Evaluate various implementation options and discuss them with project partners.
- Implement the chosen solutions.
- Create the necessary quality documentation.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
1. College or university degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.

2. A specialization in data analysis/analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be considered an asset.

Equivalent work experience may be considered.

**Experience**:

- Experience with at least one research project (Minimum of 1 year) developing complex solutions using analytics/AI algorithms
- Experience working (Storage, retrieval, querying) with complex data (sensor, image, video, geospatial, satellite etc.) may be considered an asset.
- Experience pre-processing complex data for analytics/AI algorithms ingestion.
- Experience evaluating complexity, performance, and scalability of algorithms.
- Experience implementing multiple analytics/AI paradigms including their documentation.

- Knowledge of analytics/AI paradigms.

**Relocation**:
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

**Compensation**:
From $74,552 to $93,612 per annum.

An incumbent occupying a position within the CS Group is currently entitled to receive a terminable allowance of $176 per month.
