**JOB SUMMARY**:
The VP-IT position is a high impact, hands-on role that requires intense focus and collaboration across the organization to deliver effective IT strategic and tactical planning in support of Company goals. Reporting to the CFO, the VP-IT is responsible for organizing, building and enhancing virtually every aspect of the Company's technology operations including leading a disciplined, process-oriented, and support-centric IT team.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**All IT Operations: Central, PTI and Independent**:

- Directs Enterprise Architecture, Network Administration & Security, Application Development, Ecommerce (CentralPAC), Customer Systems Support, and Employee Support
- Directs IT strategy to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Plans Enterprise tech architecture and capital expenditures.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions that will enhance or improve current business processes, including best practices in change management and business process reengineering.
- Sets and manages overall IT budget and produces business cases for ongoing IT investments
- Develops and continuously assesses IT policies per compliances, security and Employee requirements
- Oversees all hardware and software evaluations and implementations, including ERP and related custom integrations.
- Procures new equipment related to plant CAPEX, including understanding the specs/requirements, defining needs (both supplier and user where relevant), researching and evaluating vendor and product alternatives, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the equipment meets the organization’s needs along with a life plan for the procured equipment.
- Manages and optimizes Information Systems.
- Functions as chief privacy officer including developing security protocols to protect company data from internal and external threats.
- Ensures security and compliance of new equipment, including security protocols, assessments and Employee training (e.g., Production employees’ timecards under a new bar-coding solution).
- Communicates tech needs, goals, and decisions to non-tech related stakeholders.

**Team Leadership**:

- Provides strategic, technical, thought-leadership vision to establish department goals that drive results.
- Provides hands-on leadership to direct reports including performance management, strong mentorship and growth.
- Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department.
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders including explaining technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.
- Supports internal stakesholder with IT project documentation and communication - detailed project plans that contain resources, scope, budget, timelines, and milestones, and updates same throughout the project.
- Acts as advocate for IT department and its initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**YEAR ONE CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS**:

- Evaluate Company IT human capital in context of IT resource requirements and develop an effective resource plan.
- Evaluate IT systems and policies and articulate how it should evolve to effectively meet the Company's current and future business needs.
- Successful support and framework for major decisions on ERP selection, scoping, methodology, and executive alignment.
- Successful advancement / implementation of ERP project at Central.
- Successful planning outline for future ERP implementation at second business unit (PTI).
- Successful establishment of trust/confidence-based relationships with a total of 8 executives and business unit leaders across 3 operating businesses (Central/PTI/ICI).
- Successful project planning for defined list of major plant capital expenditures over the coming 3 years for one business unit (ICI).
- Successful establishment of detailed operating priorities across all operating businesses and budget implications for the 2024 fiscal year.
- Develop an inspired and trusted leadership position within the IT team.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Masters degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology required
- Minimum of 10 years IT leadership experience
- Advanced overall knowledge of networking, operating system, and server architectures
