**About the Role**

As the firm’s bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to communicate with business owners to help them keep their books and payroll up to date and support them in their quest to grow their business.

You’ll be responsible for keeping client information up to date, completing bookkeeping, setting up software for new clients, preparing and sending documents to clients, completing payroll for clients, preparing T-Slips, and providing day to day assistance to clients.

The bookkeeping is fast paced and requires great knowledge of QuickBooks Online.

You’ll have freedom upon hiring to decide whether you’d like to work with us as a contractor or employee, and the hours you’d like to work.

**What Your Day to Day Will Look Like**
- Setting up and Terminating companies, users, employees, and contractors in QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Wagepoint
- Yearly, Quarterly, and Monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online and CaseWare, including bank reconciliation, GST and Payroll module reconciliation, and Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Uploading and categorizing receipts in QuickBooks Online and Dext
- Recording payroll in QuickBooks Online and Wagepoint
- Correspond with software provider on payroll related issues and discrepancies
- Provide documents to clients, instructions on making tax payments, instructions on how to use QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Wagepoint
- Prepare T4/T4A/T5s for clients
- Any other client assistance in the preparation of their bookkeeping, corporate year end, payroll, and personal tax records

**What You Need to Succeed**
- Confidence working remotely and independently. You will have the opportunity to work either from the office, from home, or on a hybrid schedule
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self review
- Comfort communicating with individuals via phone, video, or zoom meeting, and the ability to present options to the client that gives them the opportunity to be satisfied
- Experience working with any combination bookkeeping/accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, Wagepoint, Dext, CaseWare, or Profile
- Experience with communication software including Zoom, Calendly, and Adobe
- Familiarity with the value of client relationship management (CRM) systems, specifically Karbon
- Previous accounting firm experience is a bonus
