Machine Operator

Machine Operators perform some or all of the following duties:

- Operate a Panel Saw
- Operate an Edge bander as required
- Operate a Forklift
- Create/follow cut lists
- Machine Set Up
- Run/maintain Panel Saw as needed
- Assist in other areas of the shop as needed
- Track and maintain preventative maintenance parts and schedules for panel saw/ edge bander
- Maintain work area and adhere to cleaning standards
- Track and maintain sheet stock area
- Interpret cabinet drawings
- Follow verbal instructions
- Check measurements
- Interact with supervisors to clarify schedules and tasks
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

**Experience**
- Previous experience operating a panel saw, edge bander or similar equipment, is required.
- Any experience working with machines, wood, or performing tasks that require constant attention to detail would be beneficial.
- You must be able to understand a cut list and how a cabinet is assembled.
- Book matching of veneers is a strong asset

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thorndale, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred)
