Position Responsibilities
Review daily/monthly reconciliation of GL accounts, bank reconciliations and various GL clearing entries as required in the areas of cash management, accounts payable and accruals, deposits and loan accounting
Oversee banking support functions including payments/transfers of funds and various cheque processing activities to support Treasury, Deposits and Loan operations
Provide people management support to a team of 5 employees including daily coaching and supervision of tasks
Manage accounts payable staff who process invoices using the SAP system in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
Lead improvement initiatives for financial accounting and analysis (including system enhancement and process documentation)
Participate in projects as assigned including performing data migration procedures, testing, process documentation
Formal Education
Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Related Experience
5+ years Finance and Accounting experience within the Financial Services industry
3+ years of managerial experience in financial reporting/analysis

Experience with an ERP system required (SAP experience would be an asset)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
