**Project**:
The **Woodfibre LNG** Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Woodfibre LNG will be housing the Project’s non-local construction workforce onboard a temporary self-contained floating worker accommodation (“Floatel”) that will be moored at the Project site. The Floatel was evaluated and selected among other alternatives such as a land-based worker camp and will provide individual bedrooms with private ensuite bath for approximately 650 people. The self-contained vessel will include onboard dining, medical services, security, recreational facilities, and laundry services.

Woodfibre LNG has regulatory requirements and corporate commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion through the Project’s Environmental Assessment Certificate and Squamish Nation Environmental Assessment Agreement, among others. The Indigenous Floatel Cultural Manager(s) is part of a team that will support Woodfibre LNG in meeting and reporting on these requirements and commitments, including participating in the implementation of the Gender and Cultural Safety Plan.

**Position**:
As **Indigenous Floatel Cultural Manager**, you will play a key role advancing Woodfibre LNG’s commitments to cultural and gender safety and inclusiveness aboard the Floatel.

Woodfibre LNG’s intent is that an Indigenous Floatel Cultural Manager be available on all operating shifts. It is expected that the position(s) will work the same shift schedule as the Project workforce, with 14 days on, 7 days off including night shifts. To be accessible to workers and provide a meaningful presence during the periods when they are off-duty, Indigenous Floatel Cultural Managers would stay on board during their shift rotation. If based locally in Squamish, arrangements could be made for the incumbent to spend a few nights per week at home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement programming to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace and residential environment that incorporates and respects Indigenous values.
- Engage with workers, using ongoing direct interface as an opportunity to embed Indigenous cultural insights into life on board.
- Actively promote inclusion by facilitating or participating in community-building activities and events on the Floatel, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the workforce.
- Provide a level of leadership and presence that discourages non-inclusive behavior, and monitors for such behavior, intervening and facilitating improvement where necessary.
- Support workers facing personal or professional challenges or crises where needed, offering immediate emotional support and assisting where necessary in assembling the support of other providers (such as medical services or medical providers, Floatel or project management).
- Conduct regular check-ins with workers, inclusive of all workers but with an emphasis on Indigenous, female and 2SLGBTQIA+ workers to assess their emotional well-being, addressing any concerns and ensuring that they are able to connect with appropriate support services when needed.
- Facilitate connections between the workforce and Indigenous colleagues, encouraging social integration and participation in on-board or on-site events.
- Facilitate healing circles that incorporate Indigenous practices, providing a safe space for individuals to share experiences and support one another.
- Participate on Floatel and Workplace Culture Committee to establish a safe and supportive work environment
- Organize wellness workshops focusing on stress management, resilience, and coping strategies, tailored to the unique challenges faced by the workforce.
- Provide a daily summary of activities and observations, to support the Project’s overall reporting and monitoring commitments.

**Qualifications**:

- University or College degree or diploma or an equivalent combination of education or experience in fields such as Indigenous studies, Workforce Development, Labour Relations, Social Work, Business or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and proven experience in communicating, liaising and demonstrating cultural competencies in the workplace.
- Strong understanding and ability to communicate Indigenous cultural norms and protocols.
- Strong leadership skills and managerial capabilities.
