**Position Description**:
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, you will handle the coordination and administration of purchasing and logistics activities for Science World. This role encompasses purchasing a wide range of goods and services, the administration of purchase orders, coordinating logistics and delivery activities, in addition to, establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers. Moreover, the Purchasing Coordinator will provide financial and administrative support to the finance team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchasing and Logistics
- Work with all departments to support their purchasing and logistics needs, including travel
- Streamline purchasing processes and vendor agreements to achieve cost savings and efficiencies
- Establish/manage key supplier relationships to maintain quality of goods, ensure timely delivery and compliance to P.O. terms, manage contract pricing and perform supplier evaluations and feedback
- Update or assist with the preparation and development of contracts and agreements
- Manage corporate credit card purchases and monthly statement reconciliation
- Assist in shipping/receiving function and perform purchasing requests offsite as necessary
- Oversee purchasing of office supplies and equipment
- Finance and Admin
- Assist the AP coordinator with managing payments and other data entry duties as required
- Provide support with budget planning and expense tracking
- Assist with attendance reporting
- Fulfill external donation requests and prepare donation packages
- Support on-going initiatives and special projects
- Perform other related duties as required to fulfill any changing business needs of this role
- Job Requirements/Qualifications:

- Post secondary education
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a purchasing role
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is required, Intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of cross-border customs, duties, brokerage is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Analytical mindset, ability to multitask, and manage multiple projects
- Position requires some physical activity and the ability to safely lift up to 12kg
- Salary/Wage: Commensurate with Experience
