- Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN), part of Ontario Health, is responsible for the coordination of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in Ontario. - The Analyst, Heath Analytics role is critical to the production cycle of operational reports and is responsible for both proactively identifying improvement opportunities and implementing new processes to continuously improve the production cycle. The Analyst, Heath Analytics may contribute to methodology development under supervision as they build this expertise.
- The Analyst, Heath Analytics is responsible for performing a broad range of analytic functions under the direction of the Senior Specialist and/or Decision Scientist, including data manipulation and preparation, conducting analyses, producing internal and external-facing operational reports, and updating indicators and reporting products. The Analyst, Heath Analytics may also contribute to the automation of regular reports and implementation of information design improvements. The Analyst, Heath Analytics contributes to documenting analytic processes, techniques, and methodology, mostly at the technical level but also in plain language. The ability to replicate analyses described in existing documentation is required.
- The work associated with the position has an impact on the successful delivery of multiple, larger, and/or more complex projects/programs and the efficiency of operations within multiple, larger and/or more complex operational areas.
- Here is what you will be doing:

- Analysis- Defines the analytics scope, expected deliverables, and workplan in coordination with the Manager, Team Lead, Senior Specialist, and/or Decision Scientist-
- Gathers and confirms analysis and reporting requirements mainly from fellow team members and collaborators, and from time to time, stakeholders-
- Prepares data for analysis and reporting as required through data manipulation (of small and large datasets), cleaning and re-coding-
- Develops queries in SAS, SQL, or another programming language for data extraction, troubleshoots and resolves data extraction problems-
- Produces operational reports and identifies opportunities for improvement (in the production process and the products), including opportunities to automate reporting and improve on information design and visualization-
- Updates existing reports and indicators to reflect changes in data and reporting requirements-
- Ensures data is stored securely and access is restricted to the appropriate party and grants access to data-
- As required, may have responsibility for generating visualizations and developing new reports or adapting existing ones following information design principles-
- Contributes to quality assurance review and testing of new reports and self-service analytics-
- As required, may work with stakeholders to test and evaluate the new or updated reports-
- Conducts analyses including data quality analyses, current state analyses, statistical analyses, and indicator derivation-
- Supports analyses led by Senior Specialist and/or Decision Scientist including data preparation, generating descriptive statistics, or assessing/preparing various models-
- Contributes to research and analytics projects conducted within Ontario Health and by external agencie- Project/Program/Operational Support- In coordination with the Manager, Team Lead, Senior Specialist, and/or Decision Scientist, develops the tools, templates and processes required to execute analytics activities-
- Manages concurrent priorities, and tracks and monitors against plans or standards-
- Identifies and escalates project/program/operational risks to the Manager, Team Lead, Senior Specialist, and/or Decision Scientist; proposes recommendations to address the issues identified-
- Supports the coordination of clinical and operational advisory groups/committees as required- Stakeholder Engagement- Collaborates and coordinates work with stakeholders-
- Documents and presents methods and findings to fellow team members, collaborators, and from time to time, stakeholders mostly at the technical level but as required, also in plain language-
- Actively participates in and contributes to knowledge creation and knowledge transfer activities within the team and in the enterprise data & analytics community-
