Performs essential data entry duties associated with the processing of Billing Data for the Southeastern Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO).

Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston General Hospital strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.

**DUTIES INCLUDE**:

- Responsible for various aspects of data entry, data quality, data validation and data correction as it relates to billing data and the SEAMO central billing service.
- Responsible for correspondence as it relates to claim inquiries, missing information or claim clarification on billing forms, including confidential patient information.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum Grade 12.
- Medical OHIP College Level Billing Course within the last 18 months or demonstrated knowledge of OHIP Billing (to be tested)
- Medical Terminology
- One year medical OHIP billing experience within past 3 years with experience billing all physician specialties as encompassed by the SEAMO OHIP billing service.
- Demonstrated medical OHIP billing experience for all physician specialties
- Ability to interpret billing rules as set forth in the Schedule of Benefits, as they relate to the range of specialties put forth in the Schedule.
- Demonstrated data inputting ability.
- Keyboarding Skills: 35 WPM (to be tested)
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with CabMD “Kingston General Hospital Billing Program” Software or equivalent billing software that supports multi specialist OHIP billing.
- Proven ability to attend work regularly.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
