Reporting to the Emergency Program Director, the Program Associate will work with the ED staff, leadership, patient experience representatives and organizational partners to develop strategies to improve staff and patient experiences. In collaboration with the IDEAA and Quality the associate will plan, organize, and lead activities of the department including; advancing our Multi Year Action plan priorities, supporting and promoting a culture of professional growth, responsibility, respect and safety; performance recognition; and instilling an appreciation for the Mission, Vision and Values of Lakeridge Health

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director Emergency, the Program Assistant will partner with the IDEAA team, ED clinical teams, external partners and our patients in
- **Change Planning**: Develop change management strategies and plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This involves assessing the scope and impact of the change
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Identify and engage key stakeholders affected by the change. Communicate the reasons for change, address concerns, and garner support to ensure successful adoption.
- **Communication and Education**: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan with key stakeholders informed about the change initiative. Assist with developing materials for education and training to adapt to the change.
- **Change Implementation**: Coordinate the implementation of change initiatives according to the established program plan and Multi Year Action plan IDEAA.

Address issues and roadblocks, and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful execution.
- **Resistance Management**: Identify sources of resistance to change and develop strategies to address them. Work closely with resistant individuals or groups to understand their concerns and facilitate their acceptance of the change.
- **Sustainability and Continuous Improvement**: Ensure that changes are embedded into the organization's culture and practices for long-term sustainability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback, learning from experiences, and adapting approaches accordingly.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain documentation of change management activities, including plans, communications, and outcomes. Provide regular reports to stakeholders and leadership on the status and impact of change initiatives.
- **Collaboration and Relationship Building**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure alignment and integration of change efforts. Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate cooperation and support.
- **Change Leadership**: Serve as a leader and advocate for change within the organization. Inspire and motivate others to embrace change and contribute to its success.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
" Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical Healthcare or Health Administration field is required;
" Completion or in process of a Master's Degree or PhD preferred

" Recent hospital experience required

" IDEAA project work/initiatives an asset

" Membership in good standing within a Regulated Health Discipline preferred;
" Proven leadership skills with a track record implementing complex change initiatives;
" Evidence of innovative leadership skills and proven ability to foster a collaborative team approach for decision making;
" Understanding and demonstrated experience with patient relations;
" Demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives;
" Excellent interpersonal skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and harmony building with a participative/consultative style that cultivates consensus;
" Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all service client groups, multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external stakeholders;
" Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work;
" Excellent interpersonal, communication (presentation, written and verbal), critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
" Demonstrated knowledge working with large, multisited organization with proven ability to act as a resource to various health professionals to ensure a positive client experience;
" Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, analyze, share and interpret qualitative and quantitative data;
" High proficiency with the MS Office programs;
