**Work Arrangement**:This role offers the flexibility of a dynamic work environment. It involves frequent travel to various Flair Airlines locations, and occasional work during evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.
**Position Overview**:
The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality standards and procedures within the airline's operations. They lead a team of dedicated auditors and are responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the quality of services provided, with a keen focus on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role demands strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a profound understanding of aviation regulations and industry best practices.
**Primary Job Functions**:
The **Manager, Quality Assurance** is responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead and manage a team of quality assurance auditors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and evaluations of operational processes, facilities, and equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including flight operations, maintenance, safety, and training, to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to assess quality trends, identify root causes of deficiencies, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall quality performance.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and participate in audits and inspections to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Facilitate training and education programs for employees to promote awareness of quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Additional certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001) and aviation regulatory compliance are assets.
***Experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within the aviation industry.
- Proven experience in leading teams and implementing quality management systems and processes.
***Skills and Abilities**:
- Excellent knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and safety management systems (SMS).
- Knows the provisions of CARS and IOSA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

***Requirements**:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Ability to maintain a valid Passport for work travel.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
