Veterinary Technician

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during examinations or treatments.
**Requirements**:
- Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Valid Veterinary Technician license or certification (as applicable).
- Experience in laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate demeanor towards animals and their owners.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting animals when necessary.
