This position reports to the Mine Operations Superintendent.

What you will do:

- Plan, schedule and work with coordinators for the Mine Operations Department
- Create/maintain work orders that include time allowances, trades required and necessary materials and instructions
- Support operations through the management of all aspects of the Operational work order process, purchasing and material management, assist with work execution planning and integration with maintenance as well as shut down planning and scheduling
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Capital to develop and advance workflow activities for normal operations and shutdowns
- Support Service Crew and Mine Operations in researching products/tools needed to do their job safely and efficiently
- Prepare, attend and collaborate in weekly planning and strategy meetings with other departments and within department
- Support Mine Operations GF and Superintendent as needed in data collection, reports, attending meetings
- Support and contribute to all safety program and compliance programs, including area inspections
- Mentor and supervise internship student on project in the Mine Operations Department

What you will bring:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in a mine environment is required
- Commitment to Safety, leading by example and coaching as required
- Ability to handle a large and varied workload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, documenting, planning and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), experience with EAM software systems and any scheduling software considered an asset
- Familiarity and experience with the potash operations processes considered an asset
