This position reports to the Mine Maintenance Superintendent.

What you will do:

- Lead the Capital Projects team supporting the operation and executing the capital program
- Safety leader in all stages of an operational/project Lifecyle with a track record in risk identification and effective mitigation
- Support the creation of the site 5 and 20 year plans aligning to safety and production targets delivering value in accordance with corporate PMO governance. This includes stewarding to KPI’s, working with stakeholders and sponsors ensuring the portfolio delivers value, and risk identification/mitigation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, prioritizing safety and inclusion
- Support and collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance on the prioritization of project activities as needs arise while being accountable for the adherence to governance policies
- Champion stakeholder engagement and collaboration on and across sites creating a culture of trust to foster innovation

What you will bring:

- Experience leading and building a high-performance, diverse, multidisciplinary team
- Results driven individual with a focus on building collaboration and trust
- Experience in managing complex projects preferably in mining/shafts
- Proven ability to think strategically using the full complement of inputs both qualitative and quantitative to establish priorities, assess risk, and deliver value
- Experience in creation and delivery of program roadmaps and updates
- Experience in change management and proven record of effective implementation
- Knowledge of finance/accounting principles (IFRS) relating to budgeting and capital expenditures
- Experience in procurement activities including bid creation and selection, negotiation of contracts, conflict resolution, and managing service providers
- Track record of effecting positive change and managing through influence
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle a large and varied workload with changing and conflicting priorities
- Application of Project Management principles and techniques in accordance with PMBOK
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Professional speaking abilities (ie. speaking in public to groups, and via electronic media)
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people
- Proficiency with estimating project costs and forecasting cash flows
- Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software is an asset
- Proficiency with Planisware project management software is an asset
- Relevant engineering degree or technical diploma from an accredited institution
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Hold or be eligible to pursue a PMP designation
- Ability to work Underground
- Understanding of Canadian potash mining is considered an asset.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist in Saskatchewan is considered an asse
