Payroll Assistant

Payroll Administrator Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare paystubs and payroll remittance reports using Sage 50
- Prepare ROE as required, in accordance with legislated timeframe
- Prepare WSIB and EHT premium and file corresponding reports
- Prepare and file T4/T4A slips and summaries
- Resolve payroll related issues with the CRA and the Ministry of Labor Ontario
- Complete any payroll related ad hoc tasks as assigned
- Communicate with clients and resolve their concerns regarding payroll
Work Hours:
- Office is located at Markham. Working from home can be arranged after six months of employment
- Working hours are from 10 AM - 6 PM, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications / Skills:
- 2+ years of Canadian payroll experience is a must
- Knowledge of Federal payroll program
- Knowledge of W.S.I.B. rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Employment Health Tax
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act of Ontario
- Able to work under a fast-pace working environment
- Able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
- Cantonese speaking is a must
- Detail-oriented
- Responsible
- Adaptable to change
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Experience in payroll processing
- The Canadian Payroll Association’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) accreditation can be an asset
