**Title**: RPC Co-op

Ballard Power Systems requires 1 co-op student (4-8 months) in the Rapid Prototyping Center (RPC) to assist in the activities associated with the development of Prototyping components for fuel cell module products. System components to operate fuel cells are a crucial part of fuel cells and the student will have plenty of opportunities to work with its different equipment and software’s associated in prototyping development components. This will benefit them in learning what is happening in the exciting field of fuel cells.

**Responsibilities**:
The student will be responsible for:

- Preparing standard operating procedures for all RPC equipment
- Preparing component samples and maintaining various equipment
- Running and assisting in the operation of RPC equipment such as: 3D printers, Laser machines, CNC

**Requirements**:
Students from the following disciplines are appropriate for this opportunity:

- Chemical Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Physics
- Engineering Physics
- Mechanical Engineering
- Integrated Engineering
- Electrical Engineering

**Key skills include**:Ability to work in the lab, be very “hands on” and detail oriented.
- Data analysis using Excel and data presentation.
- Strong oral and written communication ability
- Basic understanding of fuel cell operation is an asset.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with programing software would be an asset
