This particular position will deal with the support of our customers automation systems including small component upgrades and Service work for Industrial End Users and OEM’s in the Fort Erie - Hamilton Corridor. **Abilities & Skills**
- PLC and HMI programming, mainly in the spirit of troubleshooting, making corrective program changes, and documenting changes.
- Comfortable with Hand Tools, Testing Equipment e.g., Multi Meter, Megger
- Provide support to testing & commissioning activities.
- Experience in the field of instrumentation and controls, analogue sensors, PLC, VFD, Servo and safety controls systems.
- Working knowledge of Automation network protocols: Ethernet (TCP/IP), ProfiBus, ProfiNet and Modbus.
- Ability to comprehend a variety of electrical drawings and P&ID's.
- Ability to create or modify existing drawings and schematics to denote actual system configuration.
- General knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic controls as it relates to troubleshooting.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in technical matters, to routinely solve technical problems and to make recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with technical and non-technical persons.
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license and access to a reliable car. Our Service Van fleet will also be available for travel to site.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking ability
- Good leadership/mentorship skills
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required.
- A valid 309A Journeyman electrician licence will be considered an asset, but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Electrical /Mechatronics /Automation /Controls or related.
- Be available for occasional off-hours / on-call response to high-priority customers.

Strategically located in the Niagara Region, Synchro Engineering Limited has been serving Southwestern Ontario with electrical engineering and contracting services since 1966.

Initially incorporated as an electrical contracting firm specializing in industrial maintenance, repairs and installations, Synchro expanded its portfolio to include electrical engineering and engineering services over a decade ago. Over the years, Synchro has developed a solid reputation for engineering expertise involving all types of end-uses: power systems, green energy, automation, panel builds, contract manufacturing, equipment service and general electrical contracting.

**Salary**: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
