**Powerline Technician Job Responsibilities**:

- Report to site daily.
- Attend pre job meetings.
- Commence job plan with Foreman and crew members.
- Problem solving to improve efficiencies on project.
- Excute daily job tasks while keeping safety a priority.
- Working within limits of approach.
- Use UWPC training where required and conform to IHSA electrical rule book.
- Conform to all of Outland Power's policies and proceedures.
- Train and mentor apprentices.

**Work Hours & Benefits**
- Monday - Thursday 6:30AM-4:30PM with the ability to work overtime.
- Must have the ability to work out of town when required. Board allowance will be provided.
- Must be able to commute to work.

**Powerline Technician Qualifications/Skills**:
High Voltage Experience:

- Ability to operate bucket trucks and R.B.D.'s efficiently.
- Ability to climb poles, work at heights and work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to interpret drawings.
- Strong skills in rigging fundimentals.
- Load break switch installation.
- Stringing of distribution overhead conductors.
- Transformer installtion.
- Splices and terminations.
- Ability to run, backhoes, excavators skidsteers and other type of machinery.
- Use of testing equipment and hand tools.
- Erect and maintain steel, wood and concrete poles.

**Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements**:

- Up-to-date Powerline license.
- 2-3 years in distribution experience.
- Experience with greenfield distribution constrution.
- Understanding rubber glove and live line techniques.
- Working with and around big machinery.
- First aid certification.
- Working at heights.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid DZ drivers license or higher.

**Salary**: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Powerline Technition: 2 years (preferred)
