The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. This position resides with the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI).
**Accountable for**:
The Summer Student will be responsible for providing additional support to the PHBI Marketing department. You will assist with many aspects of our daily marketing functions in collaboration with our experienced team to support on key areas such as: campaigns, events, online/digital, and asset creation.
**Work location**:Calgary, Alberta
**Term**:May 20, 2024 to August 23, 2024
**Working hours**: 8:30am - 4:30pm (35 hours/week)
**Wage**: $18/hour
**Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibilities of the Summer Student are as follows (but not limited to):
**Marketing**:
- Administrative support to our PHBI Marketing team
- Support Digital Marketing Specialist with social media ideation/planning, content creation, website audits, content review and other related tasks.
- Support with creation of digital library of social assets - video, stock, and community level engagement with builder partners.
- Support Marketing Assistant on various projects, content creation, event coordination, file maintenance and organization.
- Support internal PHBI departments with fulfillment of marketing materials (online and printed) as needed.
- Community engagement with events, social media, and sponsorships (fulfillment, attendance, support) as needed.
- Achieve organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring avenues to add value.
- Other relatable tasks and projects as required.

**Qualifications and skills**:
- Must be between the ages of 16 and 30 as this position is partially funded by the Canada Summer Student grant program
- Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for a 14-week full time work-term.
- Previous work experience with administrative duties and supporting teams would be an asset.
- Soft skills: collaborations with teams, strong communication and positive attitude all desired skills for this position.

**Knowledge & Skills**:
- Passion and motivation as a marketing generalist - looking to increase knowledge of this area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable expressing ideas.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite would be an asset. (CRM/LMS (Learning Management System experience - Bonus)
- Working understanding of various digital and social media channels considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners/suppliers.
- Demonstrate a positive and fun attitude with enthusiasm and assertiveness.
- High level of professionalism, confidence, creativity, initiative, and commitment to success.
