Taber, Canada Bullock Law Full time

Bullock Law is a thriving law practice in Brooks and Taber, Alberta, we practice primarily in criminal matters and family litigation while doing some work in the areas of estate planning and administration, and civil litigation. We are currently looking for a skilled, detail-oriented office manager at our Taber office that is eager to set up standards of operations, manage staff, and streamline tasks to help our firm run efficiently.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform financial tasks including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bad debts and capital expenditures including processing of invoices and financial reports.
- Pension administration.
- Group insurance plan administration.
- HR duties including employee reviews and dispute management.
- Basic IT troubleshooting and liaising with IT service providers.
- General clerical and administrative tasks.
- Manage administrative and support staff.
- Ensure effective branch operations including dealing with vendors and purchasing supplies.
- Assist in marketing and maintaining the firm’s online presence and profile.
- Set up policy and procedures for the office, as well as maintaining the employee handbook.
- Flexibility to do adapt to multiple roles while providing assistance to management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 3+ years of office management or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management an asset.
- Experience in a legal environment preferred.
- Understanding of accounting principles, ability to analyze financial statements.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to build, train and manage an infrastructure of support staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and mathematical skills.
- Superior time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Negotiation and critical thinking skills.

**Salary will be based on education and experience ($42,000 - $70,000/year plus benefits)**
